For Illinois Residents A current Firearm Owner's Identification Card (FOID) Is Required By Illinois State Law To Successfully Complete Our CCW Class:

If you wish to take our combined Florida CCW & Illinois CCW Classes and you are not a resident of Illinois, then you do not need to show a current Illinois FOID Card. But, you do have to show a current driver's license, from the state in which you live, to prove that you are not a resident of the State of Illinois.

The following is for residents of the State of Illinois that wish to receive an Illinois Concealed Carry License issued by the Illinois State Police:

YOU MUST BRING YOUR CURRENT ILLINOIS FIREARM OWNER'S IDENTIFICATION CARD (FOID) WITH YOU, WHEN YOU COME TO THE FIRST CLASS OF OUR COMBINED FLORIDA CCW & ILLINOIS CCW CLASSES YOU ATTEND.

YOU MUST BRING YOUR CURRENT ILLINOIS FIREARMS OWNER'S IDENTIFICATION CARD (FOID) WITH YOU, WHEN YOU COME TO THE RANGE QUALIFICATION PORTION OF OUR COMBINED FLORIDA CCW & ILLINOIS CCW CLASSES.

If you already have a current FOID then you need do nothing more regarding your current FOID Card.

If you do not have an FOID Card follow the below instructions:

Left click on the below Illinois State Police Website Link to get the Illinois Firearms Owners Identification Card (FOID) Application web page

Then left click your mouse on the “Enter” window for FOID Card as shown below:

Then either login using your existinbg Illinois State Police Used User ID, or if you do not have an
existing Illinois State Police Used User ID, then left click your mouse on “Register Now”

If you then left click your mouse on “Register Now” completre all three steps.

When you are done with the last step three, you will left click your mouse on “Apply for FOID”

You must have a recent photo (showing your shoulders and your head) that you can upload to the Illinois State Police FOID Card application.
You must have an email address & telephone number that the Illinois State Police can contact you at.
You must have a credit or debit card, to pay the $11.00 fee to the Illinois State Police.

Once you are done in about 30 days you should receive by regular U.S. Mail your Illinois FOID Card.

We train people all the time, that are in the process of applying for their Illinois FOID Card.  Since it takes three weeks, to complete all four of our 4 hour CCW classes, and then complete the live fire excersize proscribed by Illinois State Law, it works out that your FOID Card arrives by Mail at about the same time as you finish our CCW class.

We can not, without a current FOID card, at your successful completion of our Illinois CCW class, issue to you an Illinois Concealed Carry Firearm Training Certificate, which you need to complete the application form for a Illinois Concealed Carry License issued by the Illinois State Police.

CCW as used above, means "Concealed Carry Weapon".

FOID as used above, means Illinois "Firearm Owner's Identification Card".

NRA as used above, means "The National Rifle Association of America".
